Development of Interpersonal Communication Skills in Psychology Training Programs
My research interests focus on the clinical training of psychologists, particularly their preparation for professional practice, which demands high standards of competence. These standards are essential in psychological interventions with populations that are often vulnerable and sensitive to communication approaches. Relational skills, including the ability to create a positive and change-oriented therapeutic environment through effective verbal and non-verbal communication, are thus vital in this field. My research seeks to understand how these relational communication skills develop throughout university psychology training and aims to design objective tools for assessing their acquisition.
