Effect of microclimate on ant behaviour
I’m currently interested in the impact of microclimate on ant behaviour, and more specifically on the invasive species Tapinoma magnum. I want to better understand the effect of microclimate and environmental temperatures on ant activity. The thermal landscape is not homogeneous and the consequences on the workers are often underestimated. I’m therefore seeking to determine whether thermal fluctuations modify the behaviour of individuals in species’ workers.
