Research directions
Community Prevention Unit (UPC)
The Unit is active in disease prevention, mainly in the field of cardiovascular disease and epidemiological transition (with a group active in Seychelles since about 20 years), in collaboration with the World Health Organization (IUMSP as a collaborating centre) and other international organizations. The Unit also collaborates with the Lausanne Cohort study (CoLaus) and is increasingly active in genetic epidemiology of cardiovascular disease.
