| The CIHSR is an interdisciplinary platform which gathers the teachings and the researches of the University of Lausanne in the study of religion. It promotes a rigourous and non confessional approach. Its approach allies an historical perspective to an anthropological one and allows critical thinking on religious facts. The CIHSR collaborates with the Faculty of Arts (both UNIL and UNIGE), the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, and the Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies. By these collaborations, the CIHSR mainly aims at a better understanding of the religious facts. At the same time it tries to develop methodological and theoretical issues related to the academic study of religion. |
